Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before your first ride with One Ride One India. Still have a question? Ask us on WhatsApp.

Who can join an OROI ride?

Our rides welcome solo riders, female riders, couples and families. Whether it is your first group ride or your hundredth, you are welcome — what matters is riding responsibly and respecting the group.

How do I register for a ride?

Message us on WhatsApp at +91 72178 59091. Exact dates, route, inclusions and price are shared when registrations open for each ride, and riders who have registered interest hear first.

How do I confirm my place on a ride?

Your place is confirmed only after you submit the registration form and pay the advance amount for that ride. The advance amount is shared at the time of registration and can vary by ride.

Do I need my own motorcycle?

Yes, OROI rides are ridden on your own motorcycle. It must be fully serviced and road-ready before the ride — brakes, tyres and pressure, chain, engine oil, lights, indicators, mirrors and battery.

What riding gear is mandatory?

A full-face helmet, riding gloves and riding shoes or boots are mandatory, along with proper riding gear. On monsoon rides a rain suit and waterproof luggage protection are also mandatory, and a warm layer is recommended for hill mornings and evenings.

Which documents should I carry?

Carry your driving licence, vehicle RC, insurance, PUC certificate and a government ID such as an Aadhaar card.

What is usually included in a ride?

It varies by ride and is listed on each ride page. Our recent rides included stays (double/triple sharing), breakfast and dinner, sightseeing, ride marshals, basic first-aid and tool/puncture support, and evening bonfires or jamming sessions. Fuel, tolls, lunches and personal expenses are usually self-sponsored.

Is alcohol allowed on OROI rides?

No alcohol or intoxicating substance is allowed before or during riding hours. Anyone who has consumed alcohol must not ride until they are completely sober. This rule applies to everyone without exception.

What safety support is there on the ride?

Every ride has a lead marshal who sets the route and pace and a sweep marshal at the back so nobody is left behind. The OROI team carries a basic first-aid kit and a puncture-repair kit, and we coordinate fuel and rest stops as a group.

I have never done a group ride. Is that okay?

Absolutely. Before each ride we brief everyone on formation, signals and rules. Follow the lead and sweep marshals, keep a safe distance and ride at a pace you are comfortable with — there is no racing on OROI rides.

What happens if someone breaks the ride rules?

OROI has a zero-tolerance policy on unsafe riding, alcohol and disrespectful behaviour. The team may stop a rider from continuing with the group and reserves the right to remove a participant without refund.

Can I cancel and get a refund?

The advance/booking amount is non-refundable and non-transferable unless a ride specifically says otherwise, because we book stays, meals and experiences in advance. Please tell the OROI team as early as possible if you need to cancel. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy for full details.

Can I transfer my slot to another rider?

In some cases, yes. You can request to nominate another rider before the ride, subject to OROI’s approval and availability. The replacement rider must complete registration and documentation, and any extra booking costs are borne by you.

What happens if OROI cancels or changes a ride?

Rides may be postponed, changed or cancelled for safety reasons such as severe weather, landslides, road closures or government restrictions. Refunds, credits or alternate arrangements are then decided case by case, depending on what can be recovered from hotels and other vendors. Full details are in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
